Goodman Games licensed Michael Moorcock’s Elric of Melnibone for The Classic Era of Elric line of RPG products.
Elric of Melnibone is a well-known sword and sorcery character, created by Michal Moorcock, who has been the subject of several novels, graphic novels, and comics since the early 1960s (see “Moorcock and Simonson ‘Elric’ Volume“). Most recently, Titan Comics published the Elric: The Sleeping Sorceress comic series in April 2026 (see “‘Elric: The Sleeping Sorceress’ #1“). Goodman’s The Classic Era of Elric brings Elric back to RPGs (Chaosium had previously released the Stormbringer RPG books starting in the 1981).
The line will consist of sourcebooks, adventures, maps, and additional supplements. These books will all be compatible with both 5E rules and Dungeon Crawl Classics. The Classic Era of Elric line will launch via crowdfunding in 2027.
