Corvus Belli debuts four powerful new heroes for Warcrow armies that introduce dynamic abilities to the game.
Warcrow is a young but quickly expanding game, and this set of new characters is sure to make a big impact on the battlefields of Lindwurm. New models are coming in June for three armies. The Scions of Yaldabaoth and Feudom each receive a new character, while Mounthaven players will be able to add a new character and a pair of officers to their forces.
Kipleacht
The gruesome Kipleacht is vicious monster that provides some much needed board control. Able to deploy and maneuver with ease, the Kipleacht can act with precision to intercept assaults on your characters or deny areas to enemy advance with its “Ankle-Biter” ability. It’s also just cool when a monster has a mouth in the wrong place.
Pierre Besson, Grand Magister
Grand Magister Pierre Besson is a powerful High Command choice for Feudom players. Anyone running a cavalary-heavy army will want to consider him despite his high points cost. Intimidating (2) ensures that enemy units will have difficulty responding to his actions. Placed at the heart of a unit of knights he’ll allow you to reroll certain rolls making your already devastating cavalry even more lethal. As a final bonus, he has anti-mage abilities to help your knights shrug off the dishonorable spells of the enemy.
Mounthaven Officers
This pair of heroes bring a wealth of new tactical options to Mounthaven armies. The Anvil brings morale-boosting aid to the already stalwart dwarves. Placed amidst their ranks your units will stand firm against the demoralizing finesse of enemies like the Dark Mind.
Meanwhile, the accompanying Mounthaven Veteran enhances any unit to which it is attached. A unit of Mounthaven Warriors go from being a defensive speedbump to a dynamic threat on the charge or at range. He also possesses a powerful disarm ability which lets him level the playing field against much more powerful enemy units.
Walljan, The Last of The First
A devastatingly powerful hero, Waljan poses an undeniable threat to your opponent’s army. Use him to aggressively target enemy leaders and don’t be afraid to lose him. A great piece to hurl across the field, Waljan will hit like a freight train and when he’s finally defeated he returns to the battlefield two turns later! Your opponent will have fits dealing with this deadly and expendable hero.
Are you playing Warcrow yet? What heroes do you want to see next?
