Wētā Workshop has revealed their latest Warhammer 40,000 Statue at the World Championships of Warhammer. Meet Celestine the Living Saint!
When it comes to amazing art pieces the crew at Wētā Workshop knows a thing or two. We’ve seen their take on Lieutenant Titus and also Abaddon the Despoiler. And now, we’re getting another amazing character in statue form. Saint Celestine is going to 1:6 scale in truly impressive fashion!
“Her wings spread wide, the Hieromartyr of the Palatine Crusade descends through the ruins of a shattered chapel on the base of the sculpture, bringing the holy light of the Emperor to your shelf. Her trailing parchment is surrounded by fluttering doves, which complete the image of this holy icon brought to life.”
Celestine the Living Saint
This statue is a limited run from the Wētā Workshop store. There’s only going to be 850 of these up for grabs world wide. She’s up for pre-order now so if you’re so inclined, you might want to get that order in sooner rather than later.
As a point of comparison, above is the tabletop miniature for Celestine. As you can see it’s a rather faithful re-creation. The pose is very close and while there might be some artistic liberties with the robe I think that can be forgiven. It’s a fantastic sculpt and the folks at Wētā Workshop should be proud of this one.
You can pre-order this one here. Just be aware of that sticker price! For $1799.00 this isn’t for your casual Warhammer 40,000 fan.
If you’re looking for something a lower barrier to entry then the trio of new Helmet Replicas might be an option. There’s a new Space Wolf, Blood Angel, and Striking Scorpion helmet up for pre-order from the Wētā Workshop store. These clock in at $99. They are each hand painted and come with the stand as well.
The Wētā Workshop has done it again!
