Now that PaizoCon Online 2025 has wrapped up, it’s time to go over some of the extra news and spoilers that came out during the weekend.

If you opted to spend your PaizoCon Online playing games, don’t worry, we watched the Twitch streams to catch all of the news and spoilers that Paizo put out. If you want to remain spoiler free, now is the time to back out of this article, because let’s be honest, PaizoCon is the time for all of the spoilers to come out.

Pathfinder Hellfire Crisis

After Gorum’s Death in the Godsrain, various factions are trying to gather up the shards of Mythic Power called Warshards. This includes Abrograil Thrune, the head of Cheliax who sends out Hellknights to find and take the Warshard held by the Hellbreaker’s League. Andoran sends a general, who is captured, accused of espionage, and executed, which drags them into war on the side of the Hellbreaker’s League.

The Battle of Hellknight Hill will be a Gen Con event with real terrain, dealing with the Warshards dropped during Godsrain. There is talk about a potential release of the scenario after the Gen Con exclusive release. We will wait and see!

Battlecry is a new source book for war themed adventures, and fighting in general. Commanders will be getting a tactic called Alleyoop where they spend an action to let allies exchange items as a free action/reaction combo, and if it’s a consumable, the catcher can also activate it with the same reaction. The Guardian will see a few tweaks like gaining 12 hit points per level, physical resistance at first level not tied to armor specialization (even though they need medium or heavy armor), taunt, and a few feats. Dragged in after the Godsrain from a sub planar place called the Fray are the Jotunborn.

You can’t have battles without new vehicles like the Air Cycle, Siege Dragon, Medical Wagon, Necroroamer, and Steam Turtle, just to name a few. The Field Propogandist is a new archetype with lots of persuasion feats and good at spinning tales. Battlecry will also have 20 pages of new troop statblocks, including dino troops if Michelle is to be believed.

There will be Remastered Hellknights, just not in Battlecry. More of the next phase of this crisis will be announced at Gen Con.

Organized Play

Starfinder Society 2E will kick off at Gen Con with #1-00 Collision’s Wake, a prequel to Invasion’s Edge. This will be a double-length scenario that has you exploring the crashed starship. #1-02 will be a first contact scenario on a moon in the surrounding solar system. #1-04 will be a relay race across the station. #1-05 will introduce the Funtionary, who will be an important person to the metaplot.

Starfinder Society Players Guide will have two ancestries: Ikeshti and Shobhad.

If you play a Starfinder 2E scenario before September 5th, you will be able to make a single Skittermander character for Pathfinder 2E.

Strix are now free to make for Pathfinder 2E. There will also be a charity boon at Gen Con called the Venture Gossip Archetype.

Battle for Nova Rush will be the scenario released for Free RPG Day in June. This will introduce Nova Rush as the new iconic starship.

Starfinder Release Starmap

Galaxy Guide is set up by story type. This allows you to choose where to set your stories by what type of planet it is: War-torn, High-tech, Weird, Horror, etc. The Xenodruids are a part of the Xenowarden faction, allowing you to mystically bond with a planet. This could allow you to be a Pathfinder Druid who is also a Xenowarden.

Player Core will now have all of the items. This is to allow the players to embrace the items, the guns, swapping out augmentations and such. Classes got some significant changes: some operative abilities that were too good got nerfed, the Solarion improved it’s solar mote and flare, nimbus surge plays better with reactive strike, guns got a big buff when they did a pass with math, and a bunch of spells got some big alterations.

GM Core will have cinematic starship combat and a more detailed hacking system. The cinematic starship combat will do more than just hitting each other. The two examples given were: Asteroid Ambush, where you are given different victory conditions, and Scanning a Dying Sun, where the victory condition is about getting certain information and getting out. There will be more tactical rules coming out in the future, but the team needs a bit more time to iron out all of the wrinkles.

We also got a small sneak peek of Swoltred, but we need to check back at Gen Con for more details of Bantred.

Guilt of the Graveworld gives us playable undead, Corpsefolk versatile heritage, and Illebrian the original species of the planet.

There will be a 25th level creature in the Alien Core called Illamantula. It’s on the cover of Galaxy Guide. If you want to punch the manifestation of social media and toxicity in the face, there is an alien just for that: Civisdaemon.

World of Lost Omens

Lost Omens Shining Kingdoms focuses on the high fantasy region, six nations and lore about them. The Bibliodaemon, death by bureaucracy is back. It also has stuff about eagle knights, including an archetype. Each Lost Omens book progresses the timeline so you get to see the shield from High Helm completed (the dwarves finally completed something in a decent timeline for once).

In November, we’ll see Lost Omens Draconic Codex. Which is all about dragons, no Wyvarans. There will be a Drake Rider Archtype, archdragons, and a dragonet ancestry. Barrage Dragon are the Oprah of force missiles, including shooting them as a breath weapon. Conspirator Archdragon has an ability that lets it excise itself from your mind, so if you think you saw it do something, no you didn’t. Sar’shalatu, was mentioned in Divine mysteries, is the primordial mother of all dragons that are great and is Apsu’s wife (can we say pulling above your paygrade?). The Magma Dragon has a burrow speed instead of a swim speed because magma is still more rock than water. The Copper Dragon got remastered into the Mocking Dragon.

Adventures in Golarion

Gatewalkers has been updated to remastered, with the artic expedition getting a retool to take of a lot of the drudgery and make it more about infiltration. They added two more deviant abilities which will show up for free in the Players Guide for Gatewalkers.

Myth Speaker Adventure Path takes us to Iblyos where normal characters can become living gods. Hero gods are public figures, acting as a divine patron. The second volume will have an expansion of the leadership rules.

Revenge of the Runelords AP sees a familiar runelord coming back (Xandergul). The first volume will have 4 new mythic destinies available. Each runelord has their own polearm unique to them and you will be fighting a lot of runelords due to Xandergul’s abilities.

One theme that will be seen throughout second edition APs is ramifications from first edition APs. You set it in motion, now deal with the consequences.

Creature Feature

One of the big things touched on in this panel was the theory of how creatures were made. They want monsters to have mechanics that support their story elements and should be fun to fight. Eliciting a strong emotion with a monster is good. There was mention about starship sized creatures possibly coming in the future once tactical starship combat is out.

Alien Core will have some cool creatures. Void Palm is a plant that can manipulate gravity. Garragakals can latch onto your hull in space and drain the life of the crew. The Cannon Archon can be wielded as a weapon by a worthy mortal. Wayward Warp are living dimensional rifts that are personified editions of Witchwarper quantum fields. Corpsefleet Recruiters go around and control mindless undead to join the Corpsefleet. The all too real Tax Class Civil Robot has the ability repossession, but can be placated with credits.

Monster Core 2 will be out in November (yes, November is all about monsters and aliens). Lost of monsters will be given the remastered treatment. Mimics are back with plenty of new abilities related to their forms. Golems will make a reappearance to be more based on Jewish folklore with a divine connection. New Algothullu will pluck memories from someone else’s brain and pass them to other Algothullu, some amassing libraries. Swarmstriders are what happens when a billion little bugs take over a corpse.

The Rune Dragon’s scales are all runestones and it can grant them to you if you gain its favor. It can swap between runes to get different resistances and effects, so you need to watch what runes it activates if you have the misfortune of fighting it. It can also throw exploding runes and it’s breath weapon puts a bunch of runes everywhere.

The Despair Dragon is sustained partly by fear. Their tongue ends in a bladder that they can inflate to resemble an animal or humanoid, send it out 20 feet, and lure you in.

What’s better than one goblin head? Four! The Gobmob is basically a hydra with four goblin heads, who all bicker with each other.

And with that, we wrap up another PaizoCon! I tried to cover everything I could, but if I missed something, please let me know in the comments. What was your favorite bit of news that came out from the weekend?
