Now that Red Hulk and Leader are coming to Marvel: Crisis Protocol we’ve still got more Hulk related characters to talk about!

In case you missed the teaser, Red Hulk, Leader, and She-Hulk 2 are all coming to the tabletop in Marvel: Crisis Protocol. I’m super excited to see Red Hulk coming. I’m very curious who else AMG is keeping in the wings from Hulk’s history. There’s still quite a few characters they could bring in and that’s what I wanted to talk about today. Bring on the Agents of SMASH!

A-Bomb, Aka Rick Jones

Rick Jones is a long time friend of Hulk. He’s been in a LOT of stories over the years and has had adventures with tons of heroes. In fact, his history is kind of amazing when you read-up on him. Anyhow, there’s a particular point in Marvel when he becomes A-Bomb. He’s not just a blue version of Abomination either. Personally, I think his character design looked cool and hope to see him come to the tabletop at some point in Marvel: Crisis Protocol.

Doc Samson

Doc Samson (2006) #1, Marvel Comics

More than just some green-haired adventurer Doc Samson is a superhero and a psychiatrist. But he’s also turned heel and gone rogue before. He’s had a long history in Marvel and with the Hulk in particular. He’s got super strength and has other gamma-related powers, too. While he’s not as strong as a fully ticked-off Hulk, he can still hold his own. Plus he retains his intelligence, too. Samson would be a great character to see added to MCP!

Skaar, Son of Hulk

I don’t think I need to spend a ton of time talking about Skaar, the son of Hulk. The summary is that when Hulk was off-world in the Planet Hulk story line he fathered Skaar. But when the ship Hulk got exiled in exploded, Hulk believed his wife and child were dead. But due to some shenanigans “Because Comics!” Skaar returns. Initially, he come to Earth on the hunt for Hulk. But, also “Because Comics” Skaar becomes a Hulk Ally instead. It’s way more dramatic than that, but if you’re like me and think a sword wielding Hulk sounds kind of cool, then you can see why I want Skaar on the tabletop. He’s kind of like if Conan and Hulk were combined…

Betty Ross

Betty Ross was once Bruce Banner’s love interest. Often playing the role of damsel in distress. However, that did lead to her getting various powers at different points. That’s sort of why I am just leaving it in as “Betty Ross” instead of her other super powered personas. She’s been the Harpy, Red She-Hulk, and also Red Harpy — all at different points. I think any of those versions (or maybe one day all of them) would be neat to see on the tabletop in Marvel: Crisis Protocol.

Absorbing Man

Absorbing Man, aka Carl “Crusher” Creel, might be better known as a Thor villain. However, he’s also had run-ins with Hulk. In fact, he once joined the US Hulk Operations and got the ability to absorb gamma radiation. This kind of backfired as it allowed him to absorb/be possessed by the One Below All. But, after being freed/defeated, it did lead him to joining Gamma Flight. He’s also married to Titania at this point, too. Way to go Carl!

Anyhow, I could see Absorbing Man enter Marvel: Crisis Protocol at pretty much any point in his career. I think he could be a really fun character based on his power set. Rules-wise I think his powers mean he could be a lot of fun to play around with. Maybe one day we’ll see what AMG does with him.
