We all know by now just how nerdy Joe Manganiello is. I mean the guy had his own custom resin gaming table built and was also trying to make a Dragonlance TV show happen. So no surprise that he should be behind a new expansion/iteration for HeroQuest: the Crypt of Perpetual Darkness. And while it was an explosive crowdfunding campaign, if you missed it the first time around, you needn’t worry. You can snag it now on Amazon (and presumably elsewhere).

What is the Crypt of Perpetual Darkness? In a nutshell it’s a classic expansion pack. You get ten new quests designed to work with the HeroQuest relaunch. You and your party will descend into the depths, fighting new monsters, discovering new treasures, and if you’re lucky, making some friends along the way.
This ten quest pack was previously only available to people who backed the HeroQuest relaunch on Hasbro’s very own HasLab (like Kickstarter but for Hasbro). But no more—now you can grab it in the wider world. Which just makes sense. I mean, it’s an expansion pack for a legendary board game, how are you gonna leave that gated as a crowdfunding exclusive?
And it’s not just like ten separate quests, either. Each of these is designed to tell a new story that builds to an epic conclusion:
