“Riff hales from Karkaris, an aquatic world that pulled away from the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. Many of his species aligned with the Separatist Alliance, Riff Tamson foremost among them. Though he would become a by aiding Count Dooku, he was motivated by a sincere desire to aid his people, who he thought would fare best among the Confederacy. Whatever the merit of his goals, he undertook a treacherously deceptive scheme after being sent as an “ambassador” of the separatists to Mon Cala.”

Riff Tamson – Death From Below

Riff Tamson is going to bring 8SP and 2 Force with him as the Primary Unit. You can see his abilities above. He’s got some nasty ways to leap around to attack — especially those that might think they are safe with the high ground. I think my favorite ability of his is Blood In The Water. It’s a nice reaction to help you mop-up any stragglers after an allied Separatist or Scoundrel Supporting Unit attacks. It’s not the strongest attack but thematically, I like how it functions.

As a Primary Unit Riff has two stances. Both are dangerous in their own ways. Savagery leans more into the melee aspects and pumps out some serious damage. On the other side Cruelty leans a bit more ranged and brings some additional effects including ways to heal. Regardless, Riff is a deadly combatant and you don’t want to underestimate him.

Nossor Ri – The Opportunistic Usurper

Nossi Ri is the secondary unit in the box and will run you 3PC. He’s one sneaky character, too. His key ability is Opportunistic Usurper which allows him to manipulate the active unit that’s been revealed by the Order cards. What’s really nice about that is as long as his card is in reserve in the Order Deck, he can’t be targeted by ranged attacks.

His stance is also a little weird — but fitting. It’s balanced between ranged and melee. The Combat Tree isn’t flashy but it’s not bad. He can apply a effects like Disarm, Shove, or Pin and can also heal. I have a funny feeling he’s a lot more versatile than he lets on. Keep an eye on this one.

Aqua Droids – Threats From The Deep

The Aqua Droids are 5PC and are one of the larger models in Shatterpoint. I kind of want to run them just for that reason but they do cost 5PC to include. Then again, they come with pretty heavy armor and pack a punch. Their Calculated Advance cost a Force but it allows for a Dash and then make a focus action. That’s going to come in handy for these droids.

Most of the time I have a hard time judging how effect these Supporting units are going to be. But in this case, I think the Aqua Droids are going to be putting in some work. They hit harder than you might think. That ranged attack is 7 dice at range 5 — that’s nothing to scoff at! Plus they have some ways to Shove the enemy or to Disarm or Pin them, too.

The Terror From Below Squad Pack is up for pre-order and releases on August 15, 2025!

Star Wars: Shatterpoint – Terror From Below Squad Pack $54.99

Riff Tamson uses speed to surprise and cripple his foes while Nossor Ri grants additional bonuses when allies use elevation and terrain to their advantage. Rounding out the squad are Aqua Droids, which are highly durable fighters that excel at frontal assault.
