Star Wars: Legion new starter sets are coming soon, and we’re taking a look at the crazy deal that the Separatist Alliance is offering!
We already saw how much of an amazing deal the Rebels and the Empire starter sets are. Now we’re taking a look at the Separatists Alliance Starter Set to figure out if the Trade Federation is making an offer we can’t refuse. Time to bust out the napkin, do some math, and check in with the droids.
Separatist Alliance Starter Set Pricing Breakdown
Contents – Separatist Alliance Starter Set Pricing Breakdown $99.99
Grievous, Droid Army Commander $17.50*
Movement & Range Tools $19.99****
Tokens ???
Total Estimated Individual MSRP: $254.95
Total Estimated Savings: $154.96
*Grievous doesn’t currently have an infantry version. So I based his price on previous commander prices of $17.50.
**Droidekas are current out of print and are likely getting a reboxing. This is the old boxed price.
***For the dice sets, I figured out the ratio of dice in the starter vs the dice sets to figure out the cost of the dice included.
****The Movement and Range Tools are currently out of stock online and this was based off the old set/packaging.

While this deal might not be quite as steep as the Rebel or Empire versions, it’s still a fantastic deal! You’re still savings over $154 vs buying these units individually. Heck, two boxes of B1 Battle Droids is more than just buying this box. If you were going to buy two boxes of Droids why wouldn’t you just buy this box and save $10 AND get everything else? That seems like a no brainer to me.
Will you need that many B1 Battle Droids? Depends. But I’m pretty sure you can find something to do with all the contents in this set if you just bought two copies. Again, I know these are targeted at new players but veterans that might want to dabble in the Separatists won’t find a better deal either. And now you’ve got a spare set of dice and tools for your friend to use when they forget theirs!
I’d also like to remind everyone that this is also a 600-Point Recon-Level Army. All in one place. I don’t think you can find a better deal for the Separatists out there. This box plus a few other options and you’re already on your way to an even larger force. There’s nothing wrong with that!
This deal is a hard one to pass up. The Separatist Alliance Starter Set is currently up for pre-order and will be shipping on October 17, 2025.
Star Wars: Legion – Separatist Alliance Starter Set $99.99
The Separatist Alliance was formed by outlying star systems that aligned themselves against what they believed to be a corrupt Galactic Republic. Exploiting their sizable workforce, the Separatist Alliance has created a massive droid army that it frequently deploys to push back against the Galactic Republic’s control. While these battle droids are not the most proficient fighters, the vast amount of them the Separatist Alliance is able to put onto the battlefield has made them a considerable threat to the Republic.
The Separatist Alliance Starter Set contains a 600-point Recon-level army and all the dice, templates, tools, and tokens a player needs to begin playing their first games of Star WarsTM: Legion. When a player is ready for even bigger games, this starter serves as an ideal starting point for players to expand and customize their armies with additional units from other Star Wars: Legion unit boxes.
