Legions Imperialis has a trio of new boxed Combat Forces to get you into the game quickly. Now is the time to get in on this Epic scale game!

The Combat Forces boxes are a great way to get into the Horus Heresy and now GW is doing the same think with Legions Imperialis. Now you can get a new Legions Astartes, Mechanicum, or Solar Auxilia force started with a one-stop box!

“Through some act of Mechanicum wizardry that we dare not ask too much about, Combat Forces for its smaller-scale sibling Legions Imperialis have also emerged, and are heading for release extremely soon.

We were thinking about just repeating the previous Combat Force announcement in a smaller font, but it turns out the contents of each box are substantially different – for one, you get dozens of Epic Scale miniatures in each. Let’s check them out.”

Legions Astartes Combat Force

It doesn’t matter if you’re playing Loyalist or Traitors, the Legions Astartes Combat Force box has you covered. With 131 miniatures in Epic Scale this one has plenty of units to work with.

I know it’s not, but this feels like a Chapter in a Box. And, yes, I know Chapters weren’t a thing until after the Horus Heresy…but you get what I’m saying. It’s really more like a Company of Marines. Anyhow, the point is that it’s a LOT of Astartes in Epic Scale. It’s perfect to get your Legion jumpstarted and on the tabletop.

Mechanicum Combat Force

The Mechanicum are also getting the same treatment! Only this isn’t just 9 Automata, we’ve got 150 miniatures in this one…

Again, this is an impressive amount of stuff in the box and is certainly enough to get you on your way to playing LI with a Mechanicum army! I kind of want all those tiny Thanatars. They look great in Epic Scale!

Solar Auxilia Combat Force

And finally we come to the Solar Auxilia Combat Force box. With 157 miniatures it’s also packed to the brim with Legions Imperialis plastic! Here comes the overwhelming numbers of the Solar Auxilia to the tabletop.

Only two Baneblades? Eh…I’m not mad about it. Especially when seeing the REST of the contents. that’s a LOT of firepower in a very tiny package.

With these different offerings, you can start a new force or add them as an allied attachment to an existing force. There’s a pretty wide array of units in each box, too. So if you’re looking for the right tool for a specific job you’re bound to find it in one of these Combat Forces.

That Legions Astartes Combat Force is calling to me…
