We got the new Drukhari characters in the studio assembled. It’s time to take a closer look at these two new miniatures!
The Drukhari are getting a new codex and Combat Patrol for this weekend along with more goodies. Those goodies include two new characters. First up, we have Lady Malys. She’s got some nasty poison and a fancy veil. After that we’ve got the new plastic Archon kit with more options to customize them. So let’s check them out.
Lady Malys
Out very own Goatboy built these miniatures and as you can see he opted for the veil on the face. I do like this miniature quite a bit as it’s got that Drukhari menace and elegance all in one. The single braid of hair splitting into two is a nice touch. But I also appreciate that she’s bringing some style to the battle with her choice of “combat boot.” She’s not wearing stiletto heels, but you probably don’t want to get stabbed by them anyhow!
This miniature doesn’t have a ton of options other than the veil on the face. Still, it’s a cool character addition to the range. Maybe one day we’ll see some other classic Drukhari characters return.
Archon
The other big news for the characters is the plastic Archon. This is actually a really great kit thanks to all the different options included. You’ve got three different heads, two different collars, as well as various wargear/weapons to choose from. Goatboy opted for the helmet-wearing version without the necklace on the collar. He also went with the hooks on the torso instead of the cracked spirit stones.
Again, you really can customize this miniature quite a bit and that’s great for anyone looking to get a Crusade Army up and running for the Drukhari. You could build the rival Archons for your leader to take on if you wanted.
The last thing I wanted to mention was that the new Archon is also available in the new Drukhari Battle Force box. This one is a pretty good spread of options for a traditional Drukhari army. So if you can get your hands on it, this is a great way to launch your own Realspace Raider army!
All of these new miniatures are available for pre-order from Games Workshop this weekend. Good luck getting your hands on them.
