One of the top D&D board games ever published is getting a reprint. Renegade Game Studios will reprint Lords of Waterdeep and its expansion Skulls of Skullport, with an anticipated retail date of April 2026. The ENnie Award winning board game was originally published in 2012 and featured players taking on the roles of Masked Lords of Waterdeep, working to expand their influence over the city by completing quests and purchasing new buildings that help all players. This appears to be a pure reprint – the cover art is the same and even uses the old Dungeons & Dragons logo treatment instead of an updated logo.

Lords of Waterdeep was originally published by Wizards of the Coast, so Renegade taking over the reprint of the game is certainly notable news. Renegade and Hasbro have a solid working relationship, with Renegade taking over publishing of several “non-core” games such as Axis and Allies and Robo Rally. Renegade also has a history of supporting these reprints with new editions and expansions, so it’s possible that the game will see some kind of new content if sales are strong.
