Systemic Games, LLC. will release Pixels, a line of electronic dice, into trade in late 2026.
These electronic, light up dice allow players to utilize Bluetooth technology to change the color and pattern of LED light emitted by the dice via the Pixels app on a phone or tablet. The Pixels app can be used to share roll results with smart devices, virtual tabletop systems and video games; it also can play audio roll results and sound effects while the die is rolling. Each die contains over 50 individual components that make up its internal circuit board, and are sculpted with precise edges for more balanced rolling.
Pixels dice were originally offered through Kickstarter back in 2021, raising $3.5 million from 24, 912 backers (about $141 per backer). Systemic Games is still fulfilling their Kickstarter in 2025. According to Katie Hayward, the company’s CXO (in an interview at Gen Con), the reason Kickstarter fulfillment was taking so long was due their products’ complexity of assembly. However, according to their more recent Kickstarter updates, the U.S. tariff situation (see “Tariffs“) also created logistics complications for the company as far as shipping product from China.
These dice come in D6 and D20 models; retail price will be $60 per die and $360 per set of dice. They are currently selling three D20 models DTC on their website as part of a “Tariff Flash Sale” for $39.99 a piece.
