Steamforged Games is back with another awesome looking pair of Epic Encounters. Can you survive the Forest of the Damned?

I’m still trying to get over how awesome the last set of Epic Encounters is — it’s one of my absolute favorites so far. But then I had to check my email and Steamforged Games sent me a press release for yet another pair of Epic Encounters! While the last round was all about the mechanical Steelborn, this set is a return to nature. And nature isn’t looking very pleased. Get ready for the Forest of the Damned and the boss fight in the Glade of the Evil Oak!

Today Steamforged Games announces our new Epic Encounters sets: Forest of the Damned and Glade of the Evil Oak.

Can you cut down these twisted terrors, or will you end up as fertiliser? Deep in the heart of this corrupted forest, something moves in the darkness between the trees. Will these wretched creatures find you ready?

Designed to turn a walk in the woods into a thrilling D&D adventure. These two new Epic Encounters sets are bursting with stunning miniatures, D&D 5e-compatible adventures, and beautiful battlemaps. In an Epic Encounters first, we’re also excited to share our guest writer for Glade of the Evil Oak and Forest of the Damned is Jason Charles Miller.

Epic Encounters of the Treefolk Variety

While I don’t have a TON of info to go off of (yet) I think it’s safe to make a few inferences. I’ve also got the Press Release to use, too. Oh and a whole lot of images to show off!

The first set is the Forest of the Damned. This one features a bunch of forest spirit/treefolks sculpts. You’ll also get the double-sided battle map as well as the encounter booklets, too.

I know the star of the show for most people will be the miniatures and those look pretty great. However, for the GM on the go, I’ve always found the adventure booklets to be VERY handy. This can be used as a one-shot, part of a campaign, or just for the miniatures. What GM/DM couldn’t use some awesome treefolk/forest spirit minis in their collection?! But you can also pair this with the next set for a truly epic looking boss fight…

The Glade of the Evil Oak is the “boss fight” of this set. Personally, I love the fact that Steamforged Games releases these in pairs like this. The boss fight miniatures are always a show-stopper and this one looks quite impressive.

I really can’t wait to get my hands on this one. Hopefully, I’ll have the previous one painted up by then! This one looks really impressive, too. Both of these sets on their way and you can pre-order them now. Unfortunately, I don’t have an exact release date. However, I DO have a price point for each of these boxes. They will run you $54.99 — you really can’t beat that price for what you’re getting.

Check out the Epic Encounters series and get your pre-orders in!
