Space Marine 2 comes to Xbox Game Pass at the end of this month, and not long after, the augmented glory of the Techmarine arrives.
Two quick updates for the ever-popular Space Marine 2. First of all, it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass at the end of the month, which is sure to be good news for those of you who have that. Second, and more exciting for everyone, not long after, the Techmarine Update is set to release with Patch 12. Take a look at the power of augmetics.
Space Marine 2 – Techmarine Reveal
The news comes from Xbox Wire, of all places. But I know better than to question the Omnissiah. In the article, we learn the power of the Techmarine relies upon the understanding that the flesh is weak. Fortunately, Techmarines have enhanced their flesh with powerful machines, including servo arms, upgraded armor, and of course, a turret. Because you can’t have a “tech” class in a game like this without it being all about a turret.
The Techmarine is a full class complete with unique combat skills and perk tree. Among the many tricks you’ll find is the Servo-Gun, which takes care of attacking the numberless hordes of your enemies while you aim at the important stuff. It also handles gun strikes, which sounds absolutely crazy to me. Possibly OP, but hey, what else do you want from Space Marines.
And then of course there’s the Tarantula Sentry turrets which you can activate during missions. You can’t carry them or place them where you will, but you are the one that gets to activate them when you find them. Of course, you also get to wield a power axe. Which should be fun.
“The new Techmarine class will be available for Space Marine 2’s PvE and PvP modes (i.e., Operations, Stratagems, Siege and Eternal War), where you get to customize and play as your very own Space Marines. Even better, it’s free for everyone! No DLC or in-game purchases required.”
The new Techmarine releases sometime in February, from the sound of it. It will be a while before we get more details on what they’re supposed to play like, but, as we get closer to the release, we’ll have more info.
Servo-Gun is cool and all, but what if you get to mechadendrite someone?
