The Legend of Vox Machina is returning this summer. Today, Prime Video announced that Critical Role’s animated series would return on June 3rd. A teaser was posted to Instagram and other social media sites today, largely teasing that the season would focus on The Whispered One, aka Vecna. Vecna served as the ultimate villain for Vox Machina in Critical Role’s first campaign, although the pacing of the cartoon suggested that Vecna wouldn’t play a major role until the fifth and final season.
Already confirmed for the fourth season is Wayne Brady as Taryon Darrington, a character originally played by Sam Riegel in Campaign 1. Other guest stars for the show include Kevin Michael Richardson, Debra Wilson, and Tom Cardy.
The Legend of Vox Machina is one of two cartoons based on Critical Role that airs on Prime Video. The other series, The Mighty Nein, debuted late last year and already has a second season confirmed.
