Wanna know what those augmetics do? Focus has just revealed the upcoming Techmarine class abilities in detail.

Space Marine 2 is getting ready to roll out the new Techmarine subclass. The tech-empowered specialist brings powerful armor, melee weapons, and of course, the tools of the Omnissiah to bear on the battlefield. Mostly this means turrets. But how? And how often? These questions and more are detailed below.

Space Marine 2 – Techmarine Ability Reveal

The Techmarine is intended to be a crowd control class. If you want to zone the enemy so your battle brothers can focus down higher priority targets, the Techmarine has got you covered. They are a mixed class, with a “slight melee bias” thanks to the Power Axe, whose wide AoE melee attacks will keep the pressure up on your enemies.

What can they do? Well, as Focus details on its blog, the Techmarine has a few different tools in his toolkit. Starting with the special ability: Servo-Gun. This lets you automatically shoot enemies, and as mentioned before, handles gun strikes for you. Which is a great way to keep up the pressure. Because you can even be melee-attacking while still gun-striking.

Techmarines can also activate Tarantula Sentry Turrets. These are placed throughout the levels. And they function the way a turret does. They have a limited supply of ammo, but will keep firing until emptied.

The bread and butter of this new class, though, is the Omnissian Axe. Only Techmarines can wield it, and it makes wide AoE attacks. You can also employ its special move, “Omnissian Rush” to charge the enemy and impale whoever you hit.

We also got a look at some of the Techmarine perks and other weapons they can equip. You can find the full details at the link below. In the meantime, keep an eye out for Space Marine 2‘s new Techmarine, dropping with Patch 12.

Who knew Techmarines would be the “wade into a horde of enemies” class?
