This massive LEGO First Light includes thousands of pieces and impressive lighting.
Solo: A Star Wars Story might not be the most memorable of Star Wars movies, but it does have some cool ships and visuals. One of the most striking ships in that movie is Dryden Voss’s First Light. It’s a very impressive looking ship and has a style that we don’t really see often.
Based on a Nau’ur-class yacht this massive ship servers as the mobile headquarters for the crime syndicate Crimson Dawn. The ship isn’t just fun background dressing either. A number of key scenes in the movie take place inside the ship. Indeed it’s interior design is as striking as the outside, and its’ really one of the stand outs of the movie.
LEGO First Light
Fight Light has been brought to LEGO life in really stunning detail by designer Tobias Nieder. This is a massive and beautiful build that really brings the ship to life. The build uses 20,591 pieces and stands a whooping six feet tall! (183 cm). This is a real display piece that is super cool to look at it. While it doesn’t have a real interior, it is designed to have a light up stripe in the front which is also cool as heck.
Now this is actually a set you can buy as Neider sells instructions for it and you can buy the complete MOC here if you wanted to. It’ll set you back 6,800 Euros, but such is the price of greatness. A couple builders, such as Markus Ers and David Russell have completed the ship and showed it off.
While it doesn’t have any interior spaces its still a really cool build. There is just a ton of really great detailing on the outside of this ship take makes it look very accurate. The black and gold color scheme is also just really striking and makes it pop. The real stand out here is the lighting stirp on the front that helps bring this to life. Its a really striking build.

This video really gives a sense of how big this build really is.

Abe is that rare thing, an Austin local born and raised here. Though he keeps on moving around, DC, Japan, ETC., he always seems to find his way back eventually. Abe has decades of experience with a wide range of tabletop and RPG games, from historicals, to Star Wars to D&D and 40K. He has been contributing to BOLS since almost the start, back when he worked at and then owned a local gaming store. He used to be big into the competitive Warhammer tournament scene but age has mellowed him and he now appreciates a good casual match. He currently covers Warhammer: The Old World, as well as all things Star Wars, with occasional dabbling in other topics. Abe mourned over loss of WFB for its entire hiatus, but has been reborn like a gaming phoenix with Warhammer: The Old World.
