Well this is a fun trio of teases from Games Workshop. The Orks are getting some new kits. Let’s see what’s coming down the pipe.
Last week, GW dropped a new picture of the Ork Warboss that’s coming. Apparently there was a “leaked” photo from the classic “potato camera” and so they decided to just put out a high quality one instead. They also showed off the alternate build options which were kind of cool. Anyhow, in that same post they promised us some more looks at the orks that were on the way. And today they are delivering on that promise with a few teasers.
Back then we promised more Orky goodness for you this week and we meant it! So, it’s time to power up your bionik eyes, take a good look and try and work out what they’re about.
New Orky Teasers
First up we have a “deeply concerned Grot” image:
At first I thought that his grot was on a bike or something. But looking at his hands, it’s clear that BOTH of them are on hanging on to something. In fact, I’m pretty sure he’s turning a crank or something. Could he be aiming a weapon? Rotating a crank? Maybe it’s some type of old-school rotary gun. Then again, it’s an ork contraption. For all I know he’s the mech grot tuning up a Trukk or Battlewagon. That’s what makes this a teaser!
Our next image is much simpler: It’s a Power Klaw.
This one is pretty classic. We’ve got the backside of an Ork Power Klaw. There’s really no mistaking that. While I don’t think this one is Ol’Man Yarrick’s Power Klaw, that would be quite the teaser, wouldn’t it! GW did say something about a Bionic Eye…
ANYHOW, I’m betting this is probably for a Nob or Boss, or some other Ork Warrior. It does make me wonder if this will be an update to an existing kit or a new unit entirely. It’s been a while since we got an updated Ork Boyz kit, right? Not counting the Beast Boyz I mean.
The last teaser is a really big gun.
The caption was “Kustom Ork Kannon?” and that does seem to fit! The question I have is what is this attached to. Is this a turret of some sort or is an Ork carrying this one around. Also, what’s up with that bone/jaw line under it? Are those teeth? Or maybe claws? I also like the jagged plating as well. And how about those Iron sights?! I guess those don’t run out of power in the middle of a fight.
Well that’s all for these teasers. Unlike the Rumor Engines, we at least know these are Orky! Now the fun is speculating as to what kits those bits are associated with. I guess we’ll have to wait and find out.
