As Kickstarter Campaign Approaches $13 Million; Title of ‘Most-funded Tabletop Games Campaign Ever’ in Sight
A sealed copy of Cyberpunk TCG Alpha Kit sold for $2000 on eBay as the game’s Kickstarter campaign approaches $13 million in funding.
Only a few days into the Kickstarter campaign, Cyberpunk TCG is officially on fire (see “Buzzworthy“) in the secondary TCG market. The game is so hot right now that one of its early release Alpha Kits sold for $2000 on eBay. The first kit listed was sold on March 11, 2026 at $749.99 and right after the Kickstarter launched, another two kits sold $1500 and then, $2000. These kits were given out to influencers, partners, and as giveaways on their Discord. The boxes contain two decks, a playmat with game instructions, polyhedral dice, and one of three foil promo cards.
The Kickstarter is approaching the all-time record for the most-funded tabletop campaign ever. At $12,415,669 (as of the publication of this article), it is in spitting distance of the #2 most-funded tabletop campaign, which is Frosthaven at $12,969,608 (see “‘Frosthaven’“). This also isn’t too far from the most-funded tabletop campaign of all-time, Brotherwise’s Cosmere RPG at $15,149,874 (see “‘Cosmere RPG’“). Cyberpunk TCG has an excellent chance of passing both of these campaigns, and handily, primarily because this campaign clearly has several whale backers and 25 days to go.
The average Cyberpunk TCG backer is spending $775 on their pledge (there are currently about 16,000 backers for the campaign). In comparison, the Cosmere RPG campaign collected an average of $274 from 55,106 backers by the end of the campaign. If the Cyberpunk TCG campaign gets somewhere between 2,500 and 5,000 more backers in the next 25 days (assuming the average pledge amount slowly drops a little as more backers pile in), they will likely become the most-funded tabletop campaign ever.
