And an Imperial Knight Destrier, too! It’s the new pre-orders from Games Workshop for this weekend. Get them while you can!
There’s quite a bit of buzz around these new releases for the Chaos Space Marines as well as the Battalion Boxes. On top of that the Eye of Terror books are out, too! I’m looking forward to those because Apocalypse 40k is BACK. I really hope Games Workshop makes those rules available in another format because I think those books might fly off the shelves, too. Then again, it’s the “End of the Edition” so folks aren’t too pumped to buy books right now. Then again, you can still use those rules when 11th drops…so I really don’t know how this book bundle is going to fare.
Anyhow, there’s a bunch cool miniatures out this weekend so let’s check them out.
The miniatures can be built as Hastarii Exterminators, armed with infantry-melting arc blasters and eradication casters, or as Hastarii Fusiliers with heavy armour-destroying neutron fusils and phosphor blasters. For either configuration, one miniature can be built as an optional squad leader, armed with a power sword to protect their unit from close assault.

Clad in twisted Terminator armour, they are now mutated beyond recognition with twisted flesh and horns bursting from seams in their once-noble plate. Their limbs terminate in wild clusters of horrific fleshmetal weapons, including heavy maces and massive power claws. The weapons themselves are interchangeable across the unit, making it easy to customise your line-breaking shock troops.

This hulking brute is clad in heavily modified Cataphractii Terminator armour, featuring mechatendrils and auxiliary weapons, turning him into a living siege weapon in his own right. He carries Last Argument, a personalised thunder hammer, and a shoulder-mounted baleflamer to flush out quarry who seek to hide in cover. Kravek Morne is not a subtle character – he is best suited to the front lines where he can crush foes under his hammer. Any aggressive and direct general will benefit from the Architect of Ruin’s presence in their army.

There are 2 straightforward poses for the legs, and an advanced option for more experienced Warhammer hobbyists. The kit includes 3 different face masks, and the hatch can be built closed or open, showing off the detailed interior and pilot. It can be armed with either a multi-barrelled heavy calibre chastiser gatling cannon to sweep aside infantry, or an explosive shell-firing frag bombard. To accompany this is an oversized rocket-assisted thundershock spear to punch clean through reinforced armour, or a versatile reaper chainsword to scythe through hordes or gut monstrous creatures with a single blow. These weapons can be mounted on either arm, making it easy to customise your devastating war machine, and the thundershock spear has 2 assembly options.
