Dark Horse Books, under a Square Enix license, will release the English Edition of Octopath Traveler TRPG Rulebook into retail on October 6, 2026.
This TTRPG is based off the Octopath Traveler video game by Square Enix. The Octopath Traveler TRPG Rulebook was originally published in Japanese by Square Enix, but now it is being translated by Dark Horse Books for English-speaking audiences. In this game, players assemble a group of adventurers to explore the world of Octopath Traveler. The 328-page core rulebook includes character creation rules, lore, and rules; the game engine is a 2D6-based TRPG system.
It will retail for $59.99.
Dark Horse is the most recent comics publisher to enter into the TTRPG publishing space in the last several years, following both Marvel and Image (see ” ‘The Sword of the Wintersea’ 5E Series“)
