Pathfinder has two new classes out in the new Dark Archive (Remastered), available at long last. Explore the Psychic and Thaumaturge!
Pathfinder 2E unleashes the dark powers of the mind (and also the occult) in the newly released Dark Archive (Remastered). The new splatbook updates the old Dark Archive to the new Pathfinder 2E remastered ruleset, meaning that now you can play the Psychic and the Thaumaturge in your games of Pathfinder 2E. They are ready to play.
Of course, there’s more than just the two new classes. You can also get wrapped up in new rules for curses and pacts, or different ways of creating your own cryptids or secret societies. There’s a lot to dig into for either players or GMs. All of which is available now in Dark Archive (Remastered).
Pathfinder: Dark Archive (Remastered) – Psychic and Thaumaturge
Of course at the heart of it all are the two new classes. The Psychic is one that’s been in need of a tune-up for a while now. And in the new ruleset it has new rules, new psychic powers, including different specializations and archetypes you can play to really customize your particular flavor of psychic power.
Here’s a sample of what you can expect from the new class. It looks like it plays quite differently from the Psychic of old. Especially since you gain the ability to literally blow someone’s mind (and create an AoE whenever you do so).
Then of course, there’s the Thaumaturge. These are monster hunters in the Van Helsing tradition. You pick a mystic implement, find esoteric weaknesses of your enemies and exploit them. Especially with the new more codified ruleset, I expect they’ll have a much easier time. You get to decide what weaknesses you are exploiting.
It’s an interesting class that grounds you in the world, even as you face down new horrors. Speaking of which, there’s plenty more for GMs in the book as well.
You’ll find sample adventures. New rules for creating your own secret society. And all sorts of ways to bring eldritch horrors right to your tabletop without necessarily putting the players from of making infernal deals with them. It’s rich for roleplay and ripe for new rules. Check it out today!
