Like the Tardis, Stairway to Heaven Comics in Newington, New Hampshire (just outside of Portsmouth) appears bigger on the inside than the outside, with several large, well-lit sales areas opening off the main floor. The store carries an enormous selection of comics, graphic novels, figures, and game merchandise, all carefully arranged, and it hosts Magic: The Gathering, Pathfinder, and Dungeons & Dragons play.
Owner Brad Gile and his staff are friendly and helpful, and overall the store has a welcoming feel. Although the inventory is huge, everything is arranged and grouped so that it’s easy to find an individual title or explore a whole genre.
