Played through the Pathfinder 2E beginner box and unsure where to go next? Troubles in Grayce has your next three levels handled.

I love a good continuation of a beginner box. And it’s not every day that you see these. Usually, the adventure you find in a beginner box is meant to paint the door opening to a wider world. After that it’s up to you to figure out how to hook your friends into playing with you again. Beginner boxes are meant to be a way to satisfy someone’s curiosity about a game. To get a taste.

But a new adventure anthology for Pathfinder (I guess May is anthology month at Paizo) looks to pick up right where that storyline left off. So, if you have introduced your friends to PF2E and are looking for where to head next? Check out Troubles in Grayce.

Troubles in Grayce – Continuing The Unlit Star

In a nutshell, Troubles in Grayce is a six-adventure anthology set in the idyllic, hardworking town of Grayce which has been shaken up by recent events. That’s where the Pathfinders come in. What I like about this, is that each adventure is designed to be its own deal. You can grab a bunch of one-shots. OR you can put together a sort of ‘tales of Grayce’ and give your players a look into the lives and troubles of Grayce’s inhabitants.

You get a decent variety of adventures too. Though, they all have a sort of horror theme, because they are leading up to the next adventure path, which takes place in Ustalav. And Ustalav is sort of the mythic Transylvania of Golarion. It’s the place where the monsters live and the fog is deep and rarely empty.

“An anthology of six short independent adventures, Troubles in Grayce gives a Game Master many options for their players. Themed with light horror in mind, this adventure anthology brings stories of hunting a cryptid, exploring a sinister scientist’s abandoned home, the devious and deadly plot of a hidden hag, and event tracking down a murderous vampire! These adventures, each providing a level’s worth of experience, can be played independently or as a series if the party wants to spend more time in Grayce before branching out into larger adventures.

Pathfinder Adventure: Troubles in Grayce Adventure Anthology is designed for characters of levels 2–4 and is ideal for playing a one-shot with your gaming group or as part of a larger arc that takes players from Pathfinder Beginner Box: Secrets of the Unlit Star into the adventures in Grayce and then to Paizo’s next exciting Pathfinder Adventure Path—all set in the fog-shrouded nation of Ustalav, home of a host of horrors.”

Pathfinder: Troubles in Grayce is available now. You can find it at your friendly local game store, or else grab it online at your preferred dispensary of digital delights. Either way, Grayce awaits.
