A new 2-player starter that has everything you need to get started with Infinity is coming later this month.

Corvus Belli has announced the latest two-player starter for their long-running cyberpunk skirmish game, Infinity. Operation Mazebreaker contains everything two players need to get started with Infinity.

Beneath the surface of Akiyama, Shinju’s largest moon, an alien labyrinth hides xenotech capable of reshaping the Human Sphere’s balance of power. ALEPH seeks it to preserve order; the Nomads want it for survival. Both factions descend into the maze, racing to claim the prize at its heart.

The new two player starter includes:

  • 7 metal miniatures for ALEPH
    • 3x Tacbot Dikpala
    • 1x Asura
    • 1x Naga
    • 1x Shukra
    • 1x Sharvara HoundBot
  • 7 metal miniatures for Nomads
    • 3x Alguacil Gatta
    • 1x Corregidor Bandit
    • 1x Bearcats Airborne Troops
    • 1x Territorial
    • 1x Vigilante
  • 1x learn how to play Infinity, lore and Hobby booklet
  • 1x Novaro Xeno-Hall cardboard scenery set
  • 1x Game Mat
  • 6x twenty-sided dice (3 for ALEPH and 3 for Nomads)
  • Cardboard Markers, Templates, and a measuring tool

Folks, I am a sucker for a two-player starter (just check my luggage on the way out of Adepticon every year for proof) and this looks like a good one! The miniatures are obviously very cool, but I love the cardboard scenery.

The trend to include not just minis in a starter set but a complete environment for your first games is something I’ve been really happy to observe in recent years. Sure, you can learn a new game with your figures and whatever terrain or random objects you have but a set like this really helps immerse you in the game’s setting and get the creative juices flowing.

Operation Mazebreaker will be available as a limited pre-order from May 29th to June 15th via Corvus Belli’s online store and retail shops. A limited number of copies will also be available for UKGE attendees from Corvus Belli booth #3-702.

This might be the set to get me playing Infinity. Have you played it yet?
