The Cadia Stands Astra Militarum Army Set is coming soon and with it are some new rules for the Astra Militarum!
There’s a new Army Set and it’s packed with ALL brand new plastic models for Cadia! Fitting since dubbed Cadia Stands – and not one model is kneeling.
That said, today we are getting some more reveals from the box in the form of some new rules. How will Cadia’s ranks hold up? Well it’s time to find out!
All of them – from the heaviest guns to the humblest infantry – have had upgrades in the new codex, which will only be available in this army set until next year. We’ve assembled the troops for an inspection, to see how they stack up against the Imperial Guard of yore.
Cadia Stands With New Rules
First up we get a look at the humble Shock Troops rule. This one basically makes your 6s to hit score one additional hit! It’s only for Lasguns or Laspistols however — sorry fancy melta or plasma!
Next up we get a look at a stratagem. This one’s a +1 to wound rolls for a unit within 6″ of a friendly Cadian Officer. Considering how they can get a boost to their hits from the previous rule this extra +1 to wound could really come in handy.
Field Ordnance Batteries Rules
Here’s an exciting one: We get a look at the new Field Ordnance units from the Astra Militarum.

Each of these massive new weapons brings the boom in their own way. On the plus side, they can all reach out and touch the enemy at 48″ so you won’t have to sacrifice range for any of them. You really just have to choose the role you want them to play and build around that.
Scout Sentinel Improvements
Even the Scout Sentinel is getting some upgrades. It’s just better, stronger, and faster than it was before.
This is just the tip of the iceberg that is the Astra Militarum as well. Get ready for more reveals in the coming days.
