WotC might not have revealed their 2026 lineup, but a new Platinum Edition box on Beadle & Grimm’s gives us a big hint.
Beadle & Grimm’s, makers of deluxe “campaign experiences” in a box, have teased an upcoming new D&D book with the announcement of an as-yet-untitled Platinum Edition box going up for pre-order in June. The new box specifically mentions it’ll be fully revealed when D&D announces this “newest book.” So get out your conspiracy wall and grains of salt, and let’s take a look.
Beadle & Grimm’s New Platinum Edition Teases Unannounced D&D Campaign
First things first, if you’re wondering what’s all this then: Beadle & Grimm’s make deluxe campaign experiences. They take books – primarily campaigns, but also they have tackled the occasional campaign setting – and turn them into easy-to-run, more immserive versions by printing up gorgeous battle maps (with grids and everything), making in-game handouts for you, giving you a suite of minis and art cards for the monsters (at least the real important ones), and even giving you cool trinkets that tie-in to the adventure.
So as you play the campaign, you have pre-written letters to hand the players. Or other things to sort of draw the people at the table deeper into the imagined world. If that’s how you get into it.
Cut to the announcement of the untitled Platinum Edition, coming later this year:
We’ll announce the subject of this epic D&D Platinum Edition when this newest book is announced by D&D. We’re currently expecting pre-orders in May or June. Like prior Platinum Editions, once it sells out, it’s gone forever. PRE-ORDER JUNE 2026.
Admittedly, that is not very much to go on at all. But, for a better idea, we can look at other B&G Platinum Editions. This is the conspiracy wall segment of the article. Other Platinum Editions include: Rime of the Frostmaiden, Wild Beyond the Witchlight, Eve of Ruin, Spelljammer: Adventures in Space, and Descent into Avernus.
Most of these are big campaign books. Adventures that take you from levels 1-12(ish), which as we all know, is about where WotC stops making adventure stuff, with the notable exception of Eve of Ruin, but the less we say about that one the better. With all this in mind, it looks like we should expect the announcement of a big adventure (or maybe setting) sometime soon. This could be the Red Wizard campaign WotC teased back in 2024, or maybe it’s the strongly hinted at Dark Sun return. Either way, we’ll know soon enough!
What do you think the next D&D book will be?
