Larian Studios has put out a new, easter-egg packed video celebrating the music, meandering, and memes of Baldur’s Gate 3.

In a rare move for the studio that made a game that has taken more than 10,000 years of actual time up (spread out across everyone who plays it, but still), Larian studios put out a productivity aid over the weekend. A new 30 minute video promises Chill Demonic Beats To Long Rest To.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Goes Lofi With Chill Demonic Beats To Long Rest To

And boy, you really can take a long rest to this mix. It’s an incredible “chill” mix of one of the absolute best tracks in the game. No, not “Down Down Down By The River” – it’s Raphael’s Final Act. Only lofi-ified.

Though, for all that these kinds of things are great for letting your brain gremlins just sort of drift, it wouldn’t be Larian if they didn’t cram every nook and cranny they could with references, in-jokes, and memes. A lot of them correspond to some of the more beloved mods for the game.

Including catgirl Tabaxi Shadowheart, Handsome Astarion, and the Elden Ring/Dark Souls gear mods. You’ll also see a loving nod to the plague of giant rabbits mod. You could watch the whole 30 minutes a few times and not catch them all.

If you’re in need of some ambient music this season, let us offer you the sounds of mortal souls expiring. Created in collaboration with Spud Gun Studios, with a decidedly chill mix of Raphael’s Final Act by Borislav Slavov. If you’re been tuning into our weekly streams you’ll be familiar with this one.

You probably won’t see another 10K+ years of playtime gone in a year or so on this video. But it’s a nice love letter to the community from Larian. Who continue to make stuff for Baldur’s Gate 3 even as they start spinning up the fleshy, burny wheels of their next game in the Divinity series.

I mean, it *says* the video is only 30 minutes long, but that can’t be true because I’ve been watching it for 2.5 hours at least.
