After losing an arm in a fight with an Ork Freeboota Kaptain it seems that Berehk Stornbröw has a bone to pick. He’s the got tools to do it!

It’s a well worn fantasy trope that Dwarves and Elves don’t typically get along. But the hate between dwarves and orcs? That’s something that crosses the Warhammer universes from The Old World to 40k and back around through the Mortal Realms. So it really shouldn’t be a shock that the new Leagues of Votann Character Berehk Stornbröw is a top notch Ork slayer.

Today we’re getting a look at this rules to see just how good he is at slaying out. Not just orks, either! He can bring the pain to the toughest characters in the Grimdark!

What Stornbröw lacks in stature he makes up for in raw strength and durability, as his unique cloneskein blessed his skin with a craggy layer hard enough to turn aside blades and bullets. It’s a handy party trick, given how lightly armoured the Kin of the Cthonian mining guilds are – a seriously impressive Feel No Pain 4+ makes sure he’ll survive a good few fights with enemy champions.

Meet Berehk Stornbröw

You can see Berehk’s statline above. That 4+ Feel No Pain is going to come in handy for sure. But besides that, I think the real star of his show is his unique weapon: Kromlôk’s Revenge. This weapon combines the power of a Plasma Blade with that of a Mass Driver. This allows him to switch-hit between his plasma sweeps for crowds or massive single target whacks. The Graviton Strikes are [Anti-Monsters 3+] and [Anti-Vehicle 3+] so few targets are safe from these strikes. 4 attacks for 4 damage is already impressive but don’t forget about his innate [Sustained Hits 1] ability, too! Oh and yes, he can still clean-up with his Warforged Gauntlets as well.

While he doesn’t have any ranged attacks getting him into the fray is a little easier. He also comes with Relentless Avalanche. This allows him to perform a Heroic Interventions for 0 CP cost AND even allows you to use it if you’ve used that stratagem on a different target. Talk about a mean one-two combo!

Stick Berehk into a unit of Cthonian Berserks and let them take their targets to pound-town. They are the hammer and the enemies are the nail. And I don’t think Berehk would have it any other way.

Who would have thought that the Leagues of Votann would hold grudges? Oh wait. Everyone.
