Techmarines come trundling onto the battlefields of Space Marine 2 in a new update, available now. Check out Patch 12!
Praise the Omnissiah, Techmarines are here at last. Now you can see what life is like with a third arm that is also a gun that shoots at your enemies for you while you take comically overpowered swipes with an omnissian power axe to prove once and for all that the flesh is weak. It can’t be tech-heresy if it’s in the name of the Emperor, and Techmarines are living proof!
Plus, a few other updates, including a new operation, new voice lines, and more, in Patch 12.
Space Marine 2 – The Techmarine Update
Of all the new Space Marine classes added via download, the Techmarine seems the most appropriate. You’ve seen the previews, now experience them in action. You can unleash the full might of the Omnissiah as the Techmarine in your multiplayer games of Space Marine 2.
This is a potent new class that combines broad, AoE melee attacks with ranged support in the form of an automated servo-gun that is capable of handling gun strikes for you, so you can focus on meleeing your enemies. Also, you can activate the new defense turrets scattered throughout the maps, to give your battle brothers some much-needed reinforcement and respite.
“We are introducing a new playable class: the Techmarine! This mighty technician specializes in crowd control and area defense, handling multiple combat tasks simultaneously. This is primarily possible with his Servo-Gun ability. When activated, it locks onto enemies in a line of sight and automatically fires at them while the Techmarine continues fighting in melee or range. Furthermore, the Servo-Gun allows executing gun strikes without interrupting other actions.”
While the new Techmarine is the star of Space Marine 2 patch 12, it’s not the only thing. There’s also a new PvE Map, Disruption, which takes you to the Hive City of Avarax. You can bring new Restorative Stimms with you. You can even pick and customize voices for your PvE or PvP characters.
