The Horus Heresy got some love at AdeptiCon 2026. Get ready for more plastic kits coming to a tabletop near you!
If you’re a Horus Heresy player and fan of Heavy Bolters well, GW had some big news for you for this AdeptiCon Preview. There’s a BUNCH of heavy bolters rolling in with the new plastic kits. First up, we have an iconic Land Raider cousin ready to unleash it’s deadly payload.
Spartan Prometheus Assault Tank
That’s a BEEFY transport. As a new plastic version, you’ll be able to get one and take it to the tabletop soon. It’s also got more than just heavy bolters for the sponsons. Although, with the new Ad Mech and Solar Auxillia getting more attention having those bolters around might not be a bad thing…
Rapier Batteries
The Rapier Battery is another much loved weapon platform. It’s getting two variations. One is for more indirect Fire Support and the other is for direct Fire Support. Let’s see them!
I really like the look of the Mole Mortar version but I can see both options being viable for providing that valuable long range support fire.
The other option is the direct fire versions and these require, well, direct line of sight to lay down their payloads.
Again, more heavy bolters is good but there are different weapon system options to choose from. Pick the one that best suits your needs. That’s not all the Solar Auxilia is getting either. Sometimes you need some Ogryns to back up the front line!
The Charonite Ogryns are there to be a strong counter-attack unit once those super human soldiers break your front line. Send in the Ogryns to deal with them (or at least slow them down long enough for the Solar Aux to retreat).
There’s also a new Journal Tactica on the way. The Battle of Tallarn (part one) is coming. This was one of the largest and most damaging tank battles in all of the Heresy. And again, this is part one so you know there’s more to this one on the way!
Tanks for any occasion!
