Hasbro, the parent company of Wizards of the Coast, disclosed in a regulatory filing that they are investigating a cybersecurity incident. The filing was made on April 1, 2026.
The actual cybersecurity incident happened on March 28, 2026. Hasbro identified an unauthorized access to their network and are investigating it with the help of a third-party cybersecurity firm. As a result, Hasbro has taken a few of its systems offline as a precaution, and has activated its security incident response protocols. The company will continue to take online orders, ship products, and conduct key operations while it resolves the situation.
Hasbro will also continue to take measures to secure business operations. It is unclear whether or not this incident will impact operations at Wizards of the Coast in any way, shape, or form.
Hasbro recently filled out the remaining release dates for the 2026 Magic: The Gathering schedule (see “‘Magic: The Gathering’ 2026 Schedule“).
