Archon Studio has partnered with Wizards of the Coast to produce a line of officially licensed, fully painted, modular terrain intended for use with Dungeons & Dragons.  The first set in the planned series, the Dungeons & Dragons Underdark Terrain Set will release on June 15.

The new series uses Archon’s PrismaCast UV printing technique to produce three-dimensional terrain pieces that are ready to use out of the box.  The pieces are manufactured from HIPS plastic and feature a high level of detail and a scratch-resistant durability.  They are also designed to lock together to prevent shifting during play and can be combined with future sets for larger displays.

The Underdark Terrain Set is inspired by the iconic Dungeons & Dragons setting and features twisting maze-like tunnels and a subterranean cavern feel. This boxed set will include 14 floor pieces, 4 U-shaped walls, 8 curved walls, 4 single walls, 4 short walls, 11 corner pieces, 14 ledge pieces, 8 ledge corner pieces, a 25- piece bridge, and a 28-piece Drow ruin, as well as an assembly manual.  The pieces are pre-painted, but some assembly is required.

The MSRP for the Dungeons & Dragons Underdark Terrain Set will be $139.00.

This summer will also see the launch of two miniatures games from Archon, the highly awaited StarCraft: The Miniatures Game (see “Miniatures Week 2026:  Archon Studio Lays Out ‘StarCraft’ Hobby Retail Channel Preorder Plan”) and the dark fantasy Trench Crusade (see “Archon Opens ‘Trench Crusade’”).
