Get ready for a massive rules dump because the Space Marine Index is now available to download from Games Workshop.

On the heels of the Tyranids we’ve now got the Space Marine Index to chew on. As the single largest army in the game (in terms of models in the range) the Space Marines have a LOT of Datasheets to checkout. So you better grab a drink and find a cozy chair — this could take a while to read.

” Alongside the Oath of Moment army rule and all the Adeptus Astartes datasheets needed to play, this Index also includes the Gladius Task Force Detachment, with its own unique Combat Doctrines, Stratagems, and Enhancements, so you can build a well-balanced army from the outset.”

This Index includes all the main rules of the army of the Adeptus Astartes. No matter what flavor of Space Marine you’re playing you’re going to want to get these rules.

Not only do we get a look at all the important Datasheets for ALL the current units in the Space Marine roster we also get our first look at all the stratagems in the Gladius Task Force Detachment.

On top of all those rules we also get the Enhancements for this detachment. Games Workshop has already confirmed these are just the first detachments and by simply swapping out your detachment rules you’re going to have a different play experience.

There are some old classics in the mix as well as the new units from Leviathan. So if you’re playing Space Marines on day one this is almost everything you’ll need to dive in. Now we just need the points…

So download those Core Rules and learn how to play Warhammer 40,000: 10th Edition to get a head start on the next edition.
