The Cyberpunk Trading Card Game has broken the record for tabletop game funding on Kickstarter, and celebrates with a limited edition card.

Calling the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game a runaway success is an understatement. People thought it was going to be good. But I don’t know that anyone could have predicted the record-shattering success it’s found. It’s hitting the exact right crowd at the exact right time, with hype for Cyberpunk and its various characters drawing people in to a new way to explore the world of Night City.

Now it has surpassed the record for most-funded tabletop game, setting the bar at a staggering $15.4 million at press time, with 16 days left in the campaign (so the bar is probably going to be much higher by the end of it). Especially since the team is celebrating by offering a special edition rare foil card to backers at all pledge tiers.

Celebratory ‘Streetkid V’ Foil Card

I mean, look the Cyberpunk TCG beat out Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere RPG, which had previously set the bar at $15.1 million. It’s wild how hungry people are for this game. But with more than 20k backers, the community is already massive and the game isn’t even out yet.

But if you’ve been thinking about it, you’ll probably want to back while you can. As the record-breaking success is being shared with backers in the form of cool rewards. Like today, when the team announced a new ‘Foil Nova Rare’ for people backing at any pledge tier – a Streetkid V. If you’ve played Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll know V’s origins can be one of three different paths. The Streetkid is quite possibly the fan favorite.

This one is “signed” by the Night City Legend, and is all about hitting the major leagues. Now all you have to do is get yourself a Jackie and you can live out the opening montage of Cyberpunk 2077. Something players have been hungry for since release date.

Or if you’re a fan of the Edgerunners anime, which played a huge role in Cyberpunk 2077’s redemption arc, you’ll find David Martinez and Lucy and Rebecca and the whole gang here. As exclusive rewards for backers at any tier.

It goes without saying that the Kickstarter campaign is probably one of your best bets for getting some of these rare cards. You can find a variety of characters. This includes Kerry Eurodyne, Panam Palmer, and Judy Alvarez waiting in the Beta Box tier, for instance.

And if you want to know how the game is played? You can check out the quick rules right here. This runaway train shows now signs of slowing down – but then neither does Night City. So back now, while you still can.

Don’t miss out chooms!
